It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Centre for Sustainable Seafood and Climate-Smart Aquaculture (CSSCSA), an initiative of the Research and Education for Environmental Foundation (REEF). Our Centre is dedicated to advancing sustainable seafood systems and promoting climate-resilient aquaculture through an integrated approach that combines education, research and meaningful engagement with local communities, including tribal groups and fisherfolk.
CSSCSA serves as a platform where scientific innovation meets practical application, responding to the real world challenges faced by coastal and inland communities. Through focused capacity building, participatory research and skill development programmes, we aim to empower tribal populations and fisherfolk by strengthening their knowledge, enhancing sustainable livelihoods and promoting responsible resource stewardship.
We invite students, researchers and stakeholders to collaborate with us in shaping a resilient future rooted in sustainability and inclusive development. Together with communities, tribal groups and fisherfolk, we strive to build adaptive systems that protect ecosystems, support livelihoods and ensure long-term environmental sustainability.
